Lovely gardens, with river views, garden seating, overlooking the beautiful Wye river and valley. Swans can often be seen floating on the river outside the windows.
Spectacular viewpoints and lovely local scenery are a haven for walkers and cyclists, with access to our layered garden areas overlooking the Wye. Cyclists are always welcome, with secure enclosed bicycle storage, route information and maps are available.
The area is also dog-walking heaven with most of the local pubs dog friendly. We have two pet-friendly rooms available both with direct access to our gardens (one a family room with two bedrooms). Guest private parking areas alongside the river.
All parts of our gardens are frequently visited by beautiful woodland deer and all sorts of other woodland animals.
We have an original tournament croquet lawn high above the house, complete with a stone umpires balcony, and croquet set for guest use.
Our gardens are being lovingly re`engineered, currently the Croquet Lawn is wonky and you can anticipate a game of 'crazy croquet'.
Bird watchers paradise, binoculars are available to borrow but they frequently have a party just outside the breakfast window.
The comfortable and gracious sitting room is a perfect place to read, enjoy the scenery and dream on our 'poet's' chaise lounge in the large bay window.
Warm wood fires are lit on chilly evenings, with scenic routes, walking maps, local interest legends and guide books to browse, along with binoculars and hand-made walking sticks to accompany your adventures
